Match 50 of this year’s IPL is all set to go live from the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai & it’s going to be a roller coaster ride with both teams eventually making it to the playoffs. The big ask, however, is going to be the qualifier for rank 1 & 2 for the playoff stage. Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings battle it out today in the course of making it to the final stages of this year’s Indian Premier League. The game today might well be a rehearsal for the finals. Well, you never know!
|Chennai Super Kings Won||13|
|Delhi Capitals Won||6|
In Chennai, it gets worse for the visitors with winning only 2 out of 7 fixtures. However, their record in this edition with away games has been absolutely phenomenal winning almost every match happening out of Delhi.
The Dhoni-less Concern

Chennai have not won a single game without having Captain Cool in their side. MSD might well be out of this one too considering his back injury and the fact that he’d like to save his energy and fitness for the playoffs and the upcoming World Cup. CSK will have to learn winning ways without having the big man by their side if they want to outplay DC today.

Suresh Raina has always been instrumental in making Chennai an almost invincible side in every season. However, this time around, it’s been a tough season for him considering his poor run with the bat and a streak of dropped catches. As standing Captain as well, he’s been under the scanner for criticism. Now would be a good time for the left-hander to come out of his skin and perform for the Yellow Army & make his presence felt in this season.
‘Pant-astic’ Knock In View?

With Delhi already qualifying for the playoffs, this young dynamic lad from the Capitals would love to ‘Capitalize’ his chances today as he’d be itching to go blazing against CSK tonight. Rishabh Pant has come back strongly after a few mid failures in the tournament and would look to play fearless cricket today as well. From a fantasy point of view as well, he’d be the perfect wicket-keeper pick at 9.5 considering the fact that Dhoni might not play today as well.
The ‘Away’ Advantage

DC have a whopping record this year of winning their 5 games away from home and have clearly dominated every host side this season. CSK shall be no different if their batting does not fire; which has been a major concern while the bowling department has shown some good consistency in Bhajji, Tahir & Chahar. Delhi will be marching towards Chennai with a go-get-it attitude backed up by Dada & Punter.
With both teams making it already to the playoffs, we are all set to witness some good quality cricket across all departments. May the best team win!
