This match might not have a lot of importance or excitement for this reigning Indian side; however, there are a few things both the teams would be looking at to change. For India, the batting order has now become the Achilles heel. They lost in England because of it, and here as well the middle order is not up to the mark. West Indies will have to come out of the T20 mindset as most of their players only get to play T20sthrough out the year. The importance of test match can never change. The way it tests your patience, mindset and balance on and off the field are extraordinary. Let’s take a look at the probable playing 11 for this test match.

Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad

The ground has always been famous for huge scores in the first two days and then uneven bounce and sharp turn from day three. We can expect the same here as well. It would be nice to see some quality bowling from West Indies as well which puts across a challenge for Indian batsmen.

India

It will be interesting to see who India will play in this game. All eyes will be on wonder boy Prithvi Shaw. They would want Rahane and Rahul to get some runs before leaving for Australia to give them some confidence. This means Mayank Aggrawal might have to stay on the bench again. He is one of the most deserving players who is still waiting for that call. There will also be an exciting contest between Jadeja and Ashwin as Jadeja has left Ashwin far behind as a finger spinner all-rounder for the team. If both of them can perform, it will provide much-needed depth in batting and bowling. Bowling that India has right now is one of the best attacks in the world. We will also have to see if Captain Kohli hits another century in Hyderabad.

West Indies

The first thing they would be looking at is at least to put up a contest. The match at Rajkot was disappointing at many levels. Kemar Roach and Jason Holder would be coming back which might improve the condition of the team but their top order batting will have to bat. They cannot play a test as T20. Braithwaite, Powell and Hope will have to bat to lengths if they want to put up a fight. The match might have the same result as the first one, but their resistance will give them some confidence. They need to show that zeal and hunger for a victory. Their body language right now indicates that they have already accepted defeat which is not right for any team.
