Hardik Pandya has been playing Cricket for the team Baroda since 2013. He always played an important role in Baroda winning the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the 2013–2014 season. In season 2015 of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Hardik scored a quickfire 21 runs off eight balls and seized three important catches to help Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by six wickets and was awarded as the man of the match. After the first match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Sachin Tendulkar called Hardik over and told him that he would probably play for team India in the next 18 months probably. And within one year he was chosen to play in the Indian team during 2016 Asia Cup and 2016 ICC World Twenty20. Afterwards against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), in a gotta win situation for Mumbai Indians(MI) to remain in the battle for the top 4 teams, he secured a quick-fire 61 runs off 31 balls to win the match from his hard work and get his second man of the match award of the season.
