T20 World Cup 2021
The T20 Men’s World Cup 2021 sponsored by the International Cricket Council kicked off from 17th October 2021. A highly accepted sport event followed by people across the world, the craze for cricket has significantly grown in India with every passing year and the seventh edition of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 has brought in a lot more charm and an authentic wave of cricket amongst the mass. It is indeed a good start for the tournament now that the pandemic seems to have taken a beat enabling the world to kick back a little and enjoy some cricket.
After the critical rise of the global pandemic, the tournament was postponed by the administrative body and was shifted to the date slab of 17th October to 14th November 2021. The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 will be administered featuring scheduled matches between 16 participating countries from around the world. This time around, the United Arab Emirates and Oman were are split hosting the T20 World Cup 2021 venues, the first time ever where a series is being hosted by two distinct countries.
T20 World Cup 2021 Venue: A Fresh sight
The rounds of deliberation and suggestion by the administrative council finally resulted in the conclusion of making two participating countries as the host of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. After a shift of venue in June 2020, by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the T20 World Cup Teams teams braced themselves to perform in the two elegant stadiums of UAE and Oman. The council finalised the dates from 7th October 2021 to 14th November 2021 along with the teams who will compete in pairs. The International Cricket Council has decided to conduct 45 scheduled matches in 8 pairs of teams (2 groups each) in two different spots of UAE and Oman.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 teams with four individual countries will combine with the qualified teams- India, West Indies, England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and Afghanistan as per their performance and point table scores. All the teams will now fight against each other to enter into the upgraded Super 12 round in the allotted World Cup 2021 venues. This is followed by the semi-final round which will be held in two sections on the 10 and 11 November.
The ICC Men’s final ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is scheduled in the grand international stadium of Dubai on 14th Novembe,r 2021.
The T20 World Cup Teams will play on the following UAE stadiums:
- Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai
- Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah
- Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi
Oman, is the second host country who have reserved matches in its famous Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Muscat.
Venue Specials
The Sheikh Zayed Stadium is booked to host the maximum number of T20 World Cup 2021 matches. The UAE stadiums will be the only venue to preside over the playoffs matches, Super 12s and the knockout rounds. The finals will also be hosted by the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Sharjah stadium, is indeed a good luck charm for the T20 World Cup teams, as the spot is known for accounting the most number of scores in the T-series tournament.
The ICC T20 World Cup venue Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman is expected to host at least six successive T20 qualifying matches in the T20 World Cup 2021. The domicile team of Oman is full with energy and enthusiasm to play the qualifying matches in its hometown.
The grand match of the T20 World Cup will be held at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in UAE. A total of 11 matches will be played by different teams including the second qualifying rounds of Super 12. This T20 World Cup 2021 venue will compile the semi-final second round and the summit clash, thereby, becoming the world's seventh country to conduct the international cricket tournament.
