After the 1st two test matches, things have been even-stevens for both India & England. While England aced the 1st test match with the likes of Dom Bess, Jack Leach & James Anderson derailing the Indian batting order, Ashwin single-handedly took the game away from England with the ball and then with the bat at his home turf MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The tournament moves on after a decent gap to the much talked about pink ball test at the new Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. With Rohit Sharma, Virat & Jinks back in form India might be ready enough to tackle the pace and swing of Jimmy, Broad & Archer.

Here are the top fantasy picks for the 3rd India vs England Test at the Biggest Cricket Stadium in the world: Motera, Ahmedabad

  • James Anderson

After looking at the pitch green and grassy, the one man who would be laughing in the corner would be Jimmy boy! These conditions have suited Anderson throughout his career and in the pink ball test, his eyes would be all lit-up given the hype on his comeback after being rested for the 3rd test. He has also expressed his views that the track might not be very different from the one at Chepauk but he is getting way more swing with the pink SG ball in the nets than its red counterpart.

  • Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah had a decent 1st test but had to make way for some changes in the 2nd test, so that he is fresh and fiery for the pink ball test. Bumrah’s pace and swing will suit the conditions in the pink ball test match and he will be amongst the wickets if he rips apart the English top order including the in-form Joe Root & Dom Sibley. If Zak Crawley makes a comeback, Dan Lawrence might have to move away from the playing 11 but Boom will have his eyes on a fifer.

  • Ishant Sharma

Talking about fifers and great bowling figures, Ishant Sharma has had a decent run against England, and this time he will be running in his 100th test match. The tall fast bowler has bowled well so far but because of the 1st two test pitches being spinner-friendly, he was not that much amongst the wickets. Root had a memorable 100th test, lets see if that can rub-off on his rival Ishant in his 100th outing in the Indian test cap.

  • Joe Root

The backbone of the English batting line-up skipper Joe Root is in the form of his life and it just does not matter for him whether it is a pink or a red ball, he’s seeing the cricket ball like a football these days. No matter the conditions and situations, you can always expect Joe to go big in test cricket. He looked a tad bit uncomfortable against Axar Patel but with the pink ball coming into play, his sweeps might just hit the middle of the willow.

  • Virat Kohli

We all know and understand that a huge score is just round the corner for the Indian Cricketing legend but will the Motera Stadium witness a long-awaited King Kohli hundred? It will be a great opportunity as he has been someone who has stepped up in conditions that have been most unfavorable in terms of batting. The Motera Stadium offers everything that will be the perfect setup for a Kohli-century.

India vs England 3rd Test (pink ball) begins tomorrow at 2:30 pm IST and you can watch it live on the Star network with live streaming on Hotstar.
