The tournament kicks off on March 23 with the Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings taking on Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. This match is being anticipated as a high voltage game since the last time RCB defeated CSK, was long back in 2014 in Ranchi where AB De Villiers played a memorable knock of 28 in just 14 deliveries. Since then, it’s been CSK that’s been having the last laugh! Both the teams seem very well balanced as it promises to be a good opening to the twelfth edition of the IPL.

With one more round of auctions to get in place, it remains for us to see what other changes happen in both the squads but as of now both the teams have retained their major star players in MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, DJ Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja & Suresh Raina for CSK and Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, Yuzi Chahal & Umesh Yadav for RCB.
