The Indian team are currently in England and Wales for the 2019 World Cup. The Men in Blue are all prepped up to play their first match of the main round at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on 5th of June against South Africa.

While India prepares for the match, Google Duo was making major glitches worldwide sending Virat Kohli’s message to confused users! Recently, he sent out a message for his supporters in a Videoconferencing platform- Google Duo and in that video, Virat can be seen, holding a cup (not the World Cup, a regular coffee cup). The caption of the clip read as “Thank you for the wishes and keep cheering for the team India on Duo.”

Skipper Kohli and Duo has apparently intended to send their fans a personalized message prepping them for the upcoming ICC madness. However, they messed up! In place of forwarding the clip to users in India, they sent it to users in other countries, namely USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. The Android users took to Reddit to report the system glitch. Soon after, Google sent out a statement for the error.

India’s World Cup didn’t really start well as the Black Caps thumped them at the Kennington Oval. However, Kohli and team rolled over Mashrafe Mortaza’s Tigers in the second warm-up match at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

On the other hand, Kohli had a bittersweet journey in the warm-ups with scores of 18 and 47. India’s fate in the 50-overs tournament will depend on Kohli and the team, if they deliver as expected from them!
